I have to say, I was so wrapped up in the Oscars last night (Billy Crystal never fails to make me laugh, "Welcome, to the Chapter 11 Theater!"), that I *almost* forgot to flip over to AMC to tune into The Walking Dead.
Sorry, guys, won't happen again.
On the pre-show I got to meet Jessica Chastain of The Help (sounds like I was there, doesn't it - lol), and can I just say that she is lovely? Absolutely lovely. She brought her grandma as her date (aww!), and check out this dress! She could have been in danger of looking like drapery, or a sofa, but she *so* didn't. It was gorgeous, imho.
Other actresses who caught my eye (and, yeah, okay, @mrlemmony's eye as well --both of them, I believe), Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez. O.O
And best dressed man? Well, who are we kidding, they all pretty much the same, don't they? George Clooney looked nice next to his tall drink of water, and so did Brad Pitt. For your consideration, I give you Jonah Hill, who dressed in dapper black and brought his mom as his date. (aww!)
While I missed an hour of Oscar to watch this dogfight...
...I did return to watch the rest...all except for Best Actress & Best Picture. I was tired. (yawn!) and knew I could find out today who took the gold. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to find out who they were.

LOL, my daughter was speculating about how much of the Oscar audience tuned away to watch WD. I think she might have overestimated the appeal, especially in the world of DVR, but then again...watching WD in real time was more important...because it's a lot easier to get an online update of the Oscars!
0 oscars, 100% Walking Dead. Is it just me, or is Rick going all Bad Ass? It's about time! Love Cameron's dress, btw!

I did not watch the oscars and I DVR'd the walking dead to watch with my daughter today.
